Dynamic Web Sites
It is not possible to pre-price dynamic web sites because, without understanding the user requirements, it is impossible to assess the complexity of the programming and data base design that may be required, and thus the effort needed to develop a site. The approach that we take here is to arrange a meeting (usually about 2 hours) to discuss your requirements. We then document your requirements and prepare a fully-costed proposal covering all elements of the development and implementation process. We charge a fixed fee for this requirements definition process. There is no obligation on your part to proceed if you feel that the proposed costs are prohibitive.
Portal Web Sites
Our solution offers to those individuals, groups, organisations or companies who require a web site that is changing constantly and where they want to manage the content themselves.
Our solution allows our clients to format their own web pages and update the content as required. It also avoids the need for the support of highly-skilled web professionals.
Once we have agreed on your domain name(s), we will check availability and make arrangements to register your choice of the following top-level domains (TLDs):
Registration will be configured to recognise your web address with and without the "www" heading. This will make it even easier for people to reach your site by simply entering, for example, "yoursite.com".
As well as the desktop, web sites and applications can target mobile devices such as the Microsoft Pocket PC and Smartphone so that users can stay connected to the information that they need wherever they are.
We will work with you to design, build, publish and manage your web presence. Briefly, our support covers the complete lifecycle of a web site and can draw on the following web design and development services.
Full details of the web design and development services that we offer from our base can be found on our web design services page.
Static web sites are built using HTML (Hypertext Mark-up Language) and the pages are rendered to the browser in exactly the same way each time they are viewed. A static web page is physically stored in the web site and only changes when it is updated and replaced by the web designer. A static web site is ideal for individuals, clubs, organisations and businesses who are keen to have a presence on the Internet.
